Undercover / Tops

Tops are as diverse as human occasion. Though a t-shirt and a silk blouse both fall into this category, it is where the similarities end. Tops are often defined by their context, which is to say that they each bring some form of predetermined identity due to design. However, their context is extremely malleable. The t-shirt, for example, began as an undergarment. It has now risen to the status of an object of desire in lieu of pure function. This transition, is one that is emblematic of the top’s ability to alter its identity and shift between levels of formality just as the human does. Tops, for this reason, are easily connected to one’s personality as it is clearly seen that they, like their keeper, are not bound by specificity but rather individuality.
