Peng Tai / Sweaters

The sweater is a truly intermediary garment. In the colder months, it is typically worn between layers to provide insulation, and is most often worn as an outer layer at transitory periods of the year. In the months following a chilling winter, there is little that feels better than pulling over a hearty knit and heading out the door unburdened by a heavy overcoat. Conversely, the sweater can serve as somewhat of a solemn reminder at summer’s close, as temperatures begin to drop. It serves to bring hopeful news of spring and summer yet also broadcast the warning that winter’s bitter bite is just around the corner.
