Trans-Figurations is a compilation of collaborative works between artists Vera Lehndorff and Holger Trülzsch. Lehndorf, who made her name internationally in the 1960s as celebrated model Veruschka, began experimenting with transforming her body, painting her skin to create the illusion of feathers, fur and leaves. In 1970 she would meet Trülzsch, artist and photographer and together they began to use her body as a canvas on which to create a new and startling art form. This enthralling work is reproduced in full colour with essays by Lehndorff and Trülzsch which reveal their method and rationale.
