A former protégé of Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe started his own line called “Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons” under Comme des Garçons in 1993. Being dubbed as a “Techno Couture” designer, Watanabe has shown his strength that is mixing fabrics and materials to create new patterns, in his creation of the collection.
